NAMI Electric – New Age Mobility Innovation
NAMI is a new brand of electric scooters in the high-end niche both in terms of performance and components. Thanks to the experience gained over the years, Michael Sha, designer of the Burn-E has designed with flair and a bunch of user feedback an e-scooter that raises the bar in robustness, comfort, performance and safety respectively.
The Nami Viper Burn-e is equipped with a large 72V 32Ah battery with branded cells, which are among the most efficient cells on the market. The advertised range is 130km (at about 30km/h, load of 70kg, 25°C, no wind…) Several people around the world have confirmed that even at 100kg and 25km/h 150km is actually possible, for example a Slovakian rider who was riding along the Danube.
Two powerful brushless motors of 1500 W each for a total of 3000 W, with a peak of 8400 W, produce monstrous torque on demand.
To brake the 47 kg of the Burn-e safely, Nami has decided to equip its electric scooter with hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm disc and a regenerative electromagnetic brakes with adjustable intensity. This applies smoothly and complements the disc brakes.
The Burn-E has a large waterproof color display. There are 5 driving modes available and, a great novelty, the settings of the two controllers are independent: You can therefore adjust the acceleration force of the front and rear motor, independently, to find a perfect balance between the front and rear wheel drive. For example, the otherwise typical spinning of the front wheel on 2-motor scooters can be completely avoided.
The two controllers are waterproof and based on Field Oriented Control (FOC) technology. This makes the motor not only nearly silent (only a fraction of other e-scooters) but also more efficient. This means that you get more torque with the same electrical input power and less waste heat in the motors. You also get further with the same battery than the competition.
For terrific riding comfort, the Burn-e is equipped with two adjustable 165 mm oil shock absorbers that allow a suspension travel of up to 11 cm. A powerful 2000-lumen headlight is positioned in the upper part of the scooter under the handlebars for optimal illumination of the road. The Nami Viper Burn-E is equipped with a motorcycle horn (we recommend a bicycle bell in addition).
The steering column is made entirely of carbon, the frame is made of 6082 aerospace aluminum and the folding mechanism presented by Nami is made of stainless steel and is absolutely wobble-free.
