Zero DS

BATTERY
Zero Motorcycles’ Z-Force® is the highest power and energy density battery in the EV industry. The Zero DS battery is available in Z-Force 14.4. Add a Power Tank accessory and get 3.6 kWh of extra battery capacity.

The battery is designed for a long life and has a five-year warranty, regardless of mileage. The Zero DS features a long-term storage mode to optimize the battery’s state of charge, further improving the long-term health of the batteries.

ONBOARD BATTERY CHARGER
No additional charger is required. The standard 1.3 kW onboard battery charger can be used with any household socket. The charger can be used in combination with the off-board Quick Charger accessory and/or the Charge Tank option for accelerated charging time.

ENGINE
The impressive Z-Force® engine provides smooth transmission with a torque of up to 109 Nm and is passively cooled by the wind. Open the throttle for enormous acceleration. When you close the throttle, energy is gradually returned to the battery.

No heavy, complicated or expensive liquid cooling. No fuss. No routine maintenance. This is the most efficient, powerful and compact brushless motor.

CHASSIS
Featuring a twin-spar aircraft aluminum chassis, the Zero DS frame offers superior torsional stiffness.

BRAKES
With the Bosch anti-lock braking system (ABS) you brake confidently. The system has been tested for almost every situation and optimizes deceleration under hard braking. The brakes are operated via brake levers that can be adjusted for the best ergonomics. The ABS system can be switched on or off by the motorcyclist.

DASHBOARD
The Zero S is equipped with a color display where you can read the specifications you need: speed, charge status, power, selected driving mode and much more. Sync with your smartphone to customize the information on your dashboard.

SUSPENSION
Showa’s specially tuned suspension gives the Zero DS 178 mm of travel for a comfortable ride on virtually any terrain. The entire damping system is fully and easily adjustable for a smooth ride around town or down your favorite country road.

WHEELS AND TIRES
With the Zero DS you can drive confidently on winding asphalt or unpaved country roads because the Pirelli MT-60 tires offer superior traction, durability and excellent handling. The tires are mounted on durable cast alloy wheels and the hollow front axle reduces unsprung weight and improves handling.

DIRECT DRIVE
Forget clutches, gears, gears, chains and all the associated fuss. Go smoothly and blazingly to speeds of over 85 mph with near-pure efficiency, as electrical energy is silently converted into thrust. The Zero DS has direct drive. The state-of-the-art motor is directly linked to the rear wheel via a carbon fiber belt.

TANK
The standard Zero DS “tank” features a spacious and lockable storage space, perfect for storing personal items such as mobile phones, a wallet or gloves. Do you prefer faster charging or a longer driving range? Swap the standard tank for the Charge Tank option for 6x faster charging or use a Power Tank accessory that provides an additional 3.6 kWh of battery power.
